Raven block

A second go at carving a block…

Was a little overambitious, maybe. I wanted to print light on dark, so to keep the bird dark, I needed to carve out the interior and leave the lines, which is exactly as hard as it sounds. My brain doesn’t want to work this way?

Feather detail doesn’t read like I want it to and I forgot what I was cutting out more than a few times, which is why the foot has no details inside, among other things… I’m finding that it’s a lot harder to declare a block done than it is to declare a drawing done for some reason.

I feel like I still want to fine tune this a bit more, but it’s been a month since I touched it so maybe it is done. I dunno!
