Ryoko shikishi

This will be in the Sakura-Con Art Show this weekend.

I really like working on shikishi (half because I don’t have to frame it, half because floating bust shots are totally acceptable??), so I was glad to find this last blank one buried away on a shelf. I haven’t been able to restock on them since the Daiso nearest to me closed. :(

Have been struggling with subject matter a lot recently, but I’ve always liked Ryoko’s original design a lot (and it definitely influenced a lot of my early OC designs hahaha), so it was fun to revisit it.

But wow, they sure do keep making Tenchi series and the most recent iteration of Ryoko is so boring looking…
