Little triptych I made for Tiny Dodo Gallery’s “HAIR” show at Stone Way Cafe, which opens this Friday! These look way better in person, so if you’re in the Seattle area, check it out~. :3
Niru and his parents.
I kind of hate Nabirye’s hair, but I think I could use some characters whose hair I don’t actually like. Anyway, the good thing about hair is that they change sometimes.
How did I manage to both make Jahi look too manly and Niruphma too girly.
Niru and his mum. Stuff on the left inspired by this.
I should play with Niru’s hair more. He’s probably secretly vain about it and tries to look as awesome as his mom.
Jahi is King. It also doesn’t really matter if she likes formal events or not. She owns them. Niruphma looks up to her a lot, and as a child, found her most impressive when she spoke to a crowd.
Haven’t felt much like drawing OCs lately. They just frustrate me. ~_~
Doodling my OCs as ponies again. And also Chrysalis because Chrysalis is the best.
I should really figure out standard weaponry stuff and technology levels in this world/story/whatever, but I really give no craps about the fighting parts. D;
Niru’s mum, Jahi Siscoren, King* of Haevelin.
* King and Queen are genderless titles. The sovereign is King and the Queen is the spouse. Succession is absolute primogeniture.
Half the women in this story used to be men and became fifty times more badass for no particular reason after I made them ladies.
It is funny how even after ten years these characters’ personalities seem to change every friggin’ time I write them. D;
More NaNo notes.
I need more ladysuit references, I guess, because clearly I have no idea how boobs work in these things. D;
