Prompt 8 for #teratologychallenge is polydactyly, which is pretty common in cats.
A less grungy version of this will be in Kawaiiween’s annual coloring zine! If you havent already, make plans to come out!
The second prompt for the #teratologychallenge is achondroplasia, of which this is a very poor example, but I think it’s a difficult condition to portray since it’s common in selective breeding.
But also like, idk what the normal leg length for a multi-eyed noodle beast would be anyway and i… normally draw them like this so is this just a weird breed of them and they’re supposed to have longer limbs? Who knows????
Dog-shaped.
Marker blending is really fun… enjoying these scribbles. I think soft edges and blended shapes are really ideal for horror, which relies so heavily on the brain filling in blanks in the worse way, so my usual dependency on lines is often frustrating.
Another #MonstersGo redraw. Original drawing by 4-year old Clara provided by @monsters.go on Instagram.
Colors are a bit garish for my taste, so I’ve included the original inks, which are also available for download on Ko-fi if you’d like to color them yourself (no donation required). ^^
I found out way late about #MythicMay, but this was the prompt for the 29th, El Cuero.
Found many conflicting descriptions of this creature, but most seem to point towards “it looks like a flayed cowhide with stalk eyes and maybe a proboscis”? And eats people and/or drinks their blood. :)
