One of three new scrolls debuting as part of Have You Eaten x Kasama Space’s Meryenda show, opening this Wednesday, May 17th. Opening reception from 5-8pm.
I feel like the more I work with rice paper, the harder it gets… trying to hold a giant scroll with one hand while taking a photo of it with the phone in my other hand remains a consistent level of difficulty, however.
More for the Sakura-Con Art Show, which will be on the 4th floor of the new Summit building this year, which is as far as it can possibly be from Artist Alley, because whoever is doing layouts for this con hates me specifically, I guess.
These were part of a Goodnight Moon x Goodnight Punpun collab project that never came to fruition.
The “Goodnight Yes” piece I’ve shared before, but not “Goodnight No” and “Goodnight Nobody.” The “Goodnight YO–” page was assigned to another artist, but I threw together something quick to complete the rhyme here. The rest of the pieces I did in 2018.
It’s really too bad the project never got finished; the other artists’ work for it was cool. I’m still pretty happy with how these turned out. The messy lettering and grungy texture was always a style I wanted to revisit outside of Punpun fanart. Still want to do that sometime.
This sketchblog is a dumping ground for sketches, studies, scribbles, process drawings, WIPs, disjointed ideas, OCs, commissions, trades, etc. It’s basically a catch-all repository for art I want to share.
