Neo Portraits: Nirahel

Kind of nice to feel even the smallest bit of momentum with art.

Since most of my Neopets don’t have particularly in-depth backstories, I’m finding that new customisations easily influence them. Nira has always been a defected recon soldier/spy who sabotaged a slave ship before crashing on Neopia and starting a desert dessert empire (lol), but now I guess she’s also a cyborg!! Her dark past resurfaces. :V

I figure her exposed circuitry blends into fur most of the time and her eyes probably look normal enough when not doing weird spy shit or whatever lol. Here are some sketches!

Neopets’ Alien Aisha design has a right-side up triangle on the forehead.

I consistently mis-remember this to be a split upside-down triangle. Last night I figured out where I got the split upside-down triangle from.

This is extra funny because I don’t think I’ve ever drawn Sasami in my entire life. It’s just a design element that’s stuck with me. I decided to just keep it for Nira because why tf not. Maybe she is also a secret goddess, in addition to being a cyborg.
