It becomes funnier every year that I don’t really like dogs at all and am 5000% a cat person, but I know so much about dogs and dogs are still somewhat easier for me to draw (though I think it’s been gradually equalising). I blame decades of Disney dog propoganda.
One problem with scanning stuff months later is I don’t remember what pen I was using for these. Made my best guesses though.
Vulpine foxes
So it ended up that all the foxes I brought to Vulpine sold within a day. :o (The flowers are still available.)
This was a pleasant surprise, but a bit problematic since I had it set up so that customers could pay for and take the art immediately. There’s no specific end date for when my work comes down from Vulpine, so people buying art means Vulpine is losing wall decor. The buyer of the scrolls was a regular at the taproom though, and agreed to pick up them up in a week, which gave me a week to deliver more art to replace it.
Vulpine 2024 art preview
Working on some new art to put up at Vulpine Taproom next month. Gonna be mostly BW sumi and ink, but I might include some older watercolor pieces if I have room.
Since Sakura-Con unceremoniously decided to put their Art Show on “hiatus” this year, I’m using a bunch of the scrolls and frames I would’ve used for SCAS for this instead.
The kitsune and tomato art I did for Hudson Valley Seed is featured as September on their 2019 calendar! :) All the other art is also really great. It’s an awesome variety!
